Ajay is a Ranmore Associate with a particular focus
on the IT sector. She has worked in
the IT industry for over 26 years, the last 12 in senior management, in the commercial, notfor-profit and public sectors, for organizations as diverse as Lloyds of London and the
Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). Since 2006 Ajay has been the Director of
Information Systems and Media Services at Anglia Ruskin University, where she is a
member of the Corporate Management Team with responsibility for over 100 staff and a
circa ?7m+ annual budget.
Since she joined the University in 2006, Ajay has orchestrated the complete transformation
of the IT function, the development and implementation of an IT/IS strategy, establishment
of IT governance and the ongoing successful delivery of over 50 major strategic projects.
Prior to joining Anglia Ruskin University, Ajay was Head of Information Systems at the
RSPB, where she led a similar turnaround of the 70 strong IT team. Just before Ajay left
the RSPB, her team was the successful winner of the 2006 Computer Weekly ?Best
Places to Work in IT' award.
Whilst at the RSPB, Ajay was the founding chair of the Charities Consortium IT Director's
Group (CCITDG) whose membership now includes almost all of the UK's major charities
and which continues to go from strength to strength.
In addition to her permanent positions, Ajay has been a part-time visiting lecturer at
Cranfield University School of Management on a very popular MBTI based professional
development short course entitled Organizational Politics for IT Managers.
Ajay continues to do some part-time consultancy, and team development and is an
accredited MBTI practitioner. She is also an Institute of Human Development Accredited
Coach and provides private individual coaching to a number of senior executives including
CIO's.
