Tessa Brooks is also a Senior Associate of Ranmore Consulting with particular expertise in coaching, facilitation and mediation. She has extensive experience in a wide range of health management and development roles with a significant exposure to the wider public sector.
Following a career in the Health Service she became a Director of the King's Fund, an independent development agency, before moving on to become Director of Leadership and Management Development for the NHS. She was a founding member of the National College for School Leadership and is currently a member of the Senior Appointments Panel for the Home Office as well as a member of the advisory panel to the Health Foundation.
Tessa has a first degree is in sociology with further qualifications in social administration and health service management, an MBA at the London Business School and a Masters in personal and organisational change at the University of Surrey (CASS).
Some examples of the kinds of issues with which she has recent experience include:
- Working with a client who was dealing with organisational change and needed an independent sounding board to help them establish a strategy in pursuit of this,
- A client who was taking on a new role and needed support in thinking through both organisational and personal issues in relation to this change
- A client who wanted help and space to work on his/her personal future direction within their current role
Tessa also has considerable experience of working in the higher education sector and has recently become one of the team delivering the Top Management Programme for HE offered by the Leadership Foundation for HE.
