Following the announcement of our recent partnership with the Higher Education Academy we are planning a series of thee ‘Global Insights’ experiences during 2017 and 2018.

The first event will be held in February 2017 in Australia. Building on our recent programmes in 2015 and 2016 this event is also being planned in partnership with the LH Martin Institute at the University of Melbourne and will involve engagement with leaders in Melbourne and Sydney. A copy of the draft programme and how to register your interest can be found here.

The agenda combines visits to a diverse range of institutions and discussions with fellow leaders guided by two experienced programme leaders with extensive knowledge of leadership development and international higher education. Whether you are a regular visitor to Australia and already have strong research or teaching links or you are seeking a means of understanding current higher education trends in Australia, you will gain much from the programme.

Further details about all three programmes can be provided by contacting cwaring@ranmore.co.uk

In particular we aim to provide the following:

  • Our new “global engagement: global insights” agenda provides an opportunity for you to ‘step back’ from operational matters and explore global issues in higher education as seen through the lens of another higher education system and through discussions and debate with peers from different countries.
  • Our first event global engagement: global challenge event was held in May 2014 in Chicago and the mid-west of the USA and involved a group of 15 senior leaders from the UK, Ireland, Italy, China and Singapore.
  • Our second global engagement: global challenge event was held in February 2015 in Australia. This event was held in partnership with the LH Martin Institute at the University of Melbourne and involved visits in Melbourne and Adelaide.
  • Our third global engagement: global challenge event was held in April 2015 in the USA. In this case we were working in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania.
